We have created our culture as one of sharing and growth. Each employee is held accountable for their own assignments, and is free to grow into other areas. Constructing thesauri or developing indexing templates cannot be done by one person alone. We work together in a tight team environment that allows us to make progress together.


Visual Researchers:

Join an innovative multimedia archival company undergoing great growth. Researchers must be detail-oriented but flexible, strengths in deadline and time management required. Must be able to reprioritize as deadlines change. Having a great sense of humour and teamwork is a plus!

Requirements:

Individuals should have a MLS or MILS degree or working to complete one of these degrees. Background in Art, Natural History, Architecture, Automobiles, Copyright Licensing, Popular Culture, Photography, or Movie and Film Production preferred.

Stills Indexers:

Archive Impact is seeking individuals who want are open to new theories of indexing and enjoy a sometimes subjective and thought-provoking experience of indexing the visual arts. Individuals must be flexible, creative and open minded, yet able to work within rigorous style-guidelines and indexing policy in an atmosphere of constant improvement team orientated atmosphere. The ability to meet deadlines is a must.

Requirements:

Individuals should have a MLS or MILS degree or working to complete one of these degrees. While not required, individuals with 1 to 2 years of either indexing or abstract writing experience is helpful. A good grasp of language is a must. BA degree in the Arts or Humanities is a plus. Computer requirements: Individuals must be familiar with Windows 95 or 98, spreadsheets and sending files via email.


Video Indexers:

Archive Impact is seeking individuals who are open to new theories of indexing and enjoy a sometimes subjective and thought-provoking experience of indexing moving imagery. Individuals must be flexible, creative and open minded, yet able to work within rigorous style-guidelines and indexing policy in an atmosphere of constant improvement and team orientated atmosphere. Strong listening skills are a must. An ability to work under critical deadlines is required.

Requirements:

Individuals should have a MLS or MILS degree or working to complete one of these degrees. While not required, individuals with 1 to 2 years of either indexing or abstract writing experience is helpful. Individuals should also be well acquainted with video and video terminology. Computer requirements: Individuals must be familiar with Windows NT, Streaming Technology and XML. A good understanding of LANs is also helpful.
